Obituary of Shelly Morris
Please share a memory of Shelly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Shelly Morris was born in Eufala, Alabama to the late Glasco Morris Sr and Alma Morris on October 26, 1932. At the age of 14, he moved to Berlin, NJ with his family to start a new chapter of life. He attended a small school house in Berlin, NJ until he began working very early in life at the lumber mills, cutting wood and driving trucks. As an adult, Shelly worked as a contracted and independent Truck Driver for a few companies and eventually his own for over 40 years. After many years, of trucking and seeing all there is to see over 48 states and two foreign countries, as he likes to say, he finally settled on a little piece of land in Williamstown, NJ in 1988. He enjoyed seeing his grandchildren, planting trees and flowers in the yard, fishing, crabbing, flipping items, and raising Black Angus cattle.
Shelly leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ora Morris of Williamstown, NJ, sons; Shelly Morris of Berlin, NJ and Maurice Morris of Erial, NJ, daughters; Patricia Morris of Lindenwold, NJ and Sheila Stokes of Williamstown, NJ, and a host of 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Glasco Morris, Jr and Robert Morris, and his sister Minnie Screen.
