Alfred Jordan Jr, was born on October 21, 1956, in Akron Ohio to Alfred Jordan, Sr. and the late Sallie Jordan. On December 14, 2019, Al left this earthly body to be with the Lord. Affectionately known as Al, graduated from Akron public Schools in 1976. With honor and distinction, Al was enlisted with the United States Army. After serving his country, Al went to work for the United States Post Office as a clerk until his retirement in 2018. In 1980, Al met and married his soulmate and love of his life, Mona Nelson of 39 years. Al and Mona would always laugh together as Al had a great sense of humor. Al was also an avid sports fan as he enjoyed watching all sports on television. Al also loved playing chess, but most of all he loved his family as he would call his brothers daily to crack jokes and tell stories. Al was preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Jordan, Stepmother, Ida McDonald-Jordan and mother-in-law Mable Davis. Al leaves to cherish his memories are his wife Mona, Father Alfred Jordan, Sr., brothers Curtis Petty, Akron, Ohio, Andy (Fay) McDonald, Akron, Ohio, Kenneth (Ninetta) Jordan, Lathrup Village, Michigan, Duane (Lisa) Jordan, Akron, Ohio, Maurice (Chrisine) Reddick, Ackron, Ohio, Sisters Christine (Jack) Williams, St. Louis Missouri, Stella Bass, Akron, Ohio, Shirley (John) Bizjak, Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to his God-daughter Monique Smith, God-son Xander Cone, special cousin Mark Amos, along with a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, family and friends.
