Obituary of Sarah J. Hardy-Miller

Sarah J. Hardy-Miller passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021 at the age of 76. She was born in Atlantic City, NJ to James and Bessie (Murray) Jones on July 11, 1944 and was a long-time resident. She graduated from Atlantic City High School and attended Atlantic County Community College. She was a 50+ year member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Atlantic City, NJ and was a member of its Senior Stewardess Board. Sarah worked as a Dispatcher for Mutual Cab Company and as a Change Booth Supervisor in the casino industry. She was very involved with the community, her family and friends—especially her “grands” and “great-grands”. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children Raynard M.A. Hardy, Carlos R. (Brandie) Hardy, Andre P. Hardy and Danielle N. Hardy and her siblings Geraldine Jones, Vera J. (Ronald) Hilliard, Tawana Lae Grace and Larry (Thywatha) Jones. She was predeceased by her older brother, Robert Leon Murray, her ex-husband Gerald Hardy, Sr., and her husband Ernest N. Miller. Sarah was most appreciative of the love and care given to her by her dear cousin Harold. S. (Butch) Jenkins and the care given by the Atlantic Care staff.
