"Hamp" and I were friends since 1949. I lived on Temple Blvd and Marvin Johns, Butchie gordon, Elwood young, Theodore Scott, Champ and Ty Belford and Buster cherry all played together. Hamp was a great athlete and teammate, sharp dresser and extremely funny. He will be missed. My prayers go out to all of you.
