Obituary of Rose Lee Mitchell

Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rose Lee Mitchell was born August 3, 1932 to the late Charles Reynolds and Annie Washington.  She was raised in Camden and attended Camden City public schools.

She accepted Christ in her early years of life.  One of her favorite scriptures was Psalms 23.

Rose married to her childhood sweetheart Thomas Sydney Mitchell until his death in 1987.  Although there were no children born to this union, she was a mother to many.

She was a devoted and loving wife, sister, aunt and friend.  She truly loved her family.  She departed this life on May 18, 2018.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David and sister Inez.  She has on surviving sister Mae Jackson of Newport News, Virginia and a sister-in-law Verline Still of Lawnside, New Jersey.  She also leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted niece Leslie Greenwood, nieces and nephews, Dwight, Darlene, Jack, Kim, Clifford, Michael, Kathy, Kenny, David, Sheila, Reggie and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A child who is born of a woman is of a few days and filled with the trials of life; they come forth like flowers and then fade away.

Rose lived for 34,987 days.
