Obituary of Allean Wilkins

Allean Wilkins born Allean Lewis on July 15, 1927 to the late Charles and Estelle Lewis in Cape Charles, VA. She was the eldest of two, her brother died at a very young age. Mother of five children, daughters included Admiral Iseley and Darlene Jones (both deceased), stepchildren Willie Wilkins Jr., Kenneth Wilkins, and Vivian Wilkins (deceased). Allean initially aspired to be a school teacher although that never materialized, she successfully worked as a postal employee in Philadelphia, PA retiring after sustaining a work-related injury. She then dedicated her time to being a homemaker. Through her elder years she was a devoted Christian. She regularly attended church where she was a Deaconess and served on the Missionary Board. She leaves to mourn her husband of over 60 years Willie Wilkins; her stepsons Willie Jr and Kenny; grandchildren Regina Bennett and her spouse William Bennett, Jimmie Jones, Michelle Iseley, and Dionne Jones-Dendy. Great grandchildren include Renee Bennett, Renita Bennett, Marquis Dendy, Maiya Dendy, Micaiah Dendy, as well as seven more. Great great grandchildren include Gabrielle Hester and Jayden Hester.
