Obituary of Lakishia Ann Wayne

Please share a memory of Lakishia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, January 29, 2017 Lakishia Ann Wayne, daughter of Earl and Detra Ann Lowe, graciously accepted her Heavenly crown. Lakishia was born on Saturday, May 8, 1982 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She attended Atlantic City High School. Lakishia continued her education by pursuing a career and her passion in the Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. Lakishia met the love of her life, Raymond F. Wayne, in the 6th grade and their romance blossomed. They were wed on December 13, 2003. Raymond was affectionately known as "Honey Bear" and Lakishia as "Sugar Bear". From this blessed union, God created an angel, Dymond Ann Wayne, now twelve years old. Dymond was the center of Lakishia's life. Demond's classmates especially loved the Halloween treats that Lakishia magnificently created. The Wayne family worshipped the Lord at Second Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. Lakishia was employed as a supervisor at Fat Burger at The Borgata. She had previously been employed as a cook at The Showboat Hotel Casino. Lakishia was motivated to start working at a young age. This was the beginning of her love for culinary arts. Lakishia had an awesome pallet, mixing spices, sauces and pastas, creating award winning dishes. She was an amazing chef! Her signature dish was Snicker Doodle Cookies and her trademark "Angel Eggs". While she enjoyed cooking, the Dallas Cowboys were second to none. If the Dallas Cowboys were playing, Lakishia was on the sideline with her Dallas Cowboys handbag cheering the Cowboys to victory! Lakishia was compassionate and trustworthy. She valued life and understood standing on God's promises. She was not quick to judge and only saw the best in everyone. Shameeka (Lakishia's baby sister) stated it best, "She held it down!" And holding it down, Lakishia did. Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Lakishia are: her amazing husband, Raymond; her daughter, Dymond; her parents, Earl and Detra; her grandparents, Earl (now deceased) and Ida Lowe, and Elizabeth Moss; her brothers, RaShawn Lowe, Kyle Merritt, and LaMar Allen; her loving sisters, Yumica Bostic and Shameeka Lowe; a phenomenal Godmother, Shari Jackson; and a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends.
