The late Ms Esther K. Kolle popularly known as Estikuu was born on the 5th of April, 1969 at Nandom in the Upper West Region of Ghana, in West Africa. She was the first Daughter of Mr Edmond Maawaa and Mrs Elise Kolle, a Senior Midwife all of blessed memory. Esther begun her basic education at the Nandom Catholic primary school located at Brutu-where she lived with her maternal Grandparents. Her parents decide to allow Esther to live with her grandparent so, she could learn their native language and teach could teach her younger siblings. After completing her basic education in 1980, she moved back home with her parents to Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region, where she began her middle school education. She completed her Middle School Leaving Certificate examination (MSLC) in 1984 at Saint Joseph Catholic School in Wenchi, then continued to the Wenchi Secondary School, where she obtained General Certificate Examination Ordinary Level (O level) in 1989. This examination was taken just two months after the demised of her mother. She began her University education at what was the Institute of Management Studies in Accra the capital city of Ghana, where she studied marketing. Subsequently, Esther moved to the former Institute of Professional studies to complete her Diploma in Marketing via the Chartered Institute of Marketing from the United Kingdom in 1992. It was between, the period 1992 to 1996, Esther worked with the Electricity Company of Ghana as the Sectional Manager at the corporate headquarters, in the Customer Service Directorate. Esther migrated to the United States in 1996 to further her education. She obtained Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from Stockton University. Upon graduating from Stockton University, she was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration as contractor with Advance Science and Technology as a Test Engineer. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree, she obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College due to her passion for learning. In addition, she became a member of the National Society of Black Engineers to share ideals with her peers nationally. Ether was not selfless with her time and money working as volunteer supporting various social activities for the unprivileged. She was recognized for these endeavours and received Certificates of Recognition. Esther was a loving, peaceful, generous, and God pleasing woman. She always had a radiant smile on her face that was contagious. Growing up as a child she never instigated any quarrels between herself and her siblings or neighbours. She was always giving and thoughtful of all those she loved. Unfortunately, Esther had no biological children of her own consequently she mothered her nephews and nieces as if they were her children. Today our family identify ourselves as Christians all because of Esther. She converted to Christianity in her early teenage years. After migrating to the United States, she became an active Member of Grace Assembly of God Church, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Regrettably, Esther fell ill in August 2019 while seeking medical attention at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in New Jersey she passed on September 8, 2019. She is survived by her brother Samuel Kolle and her sister Ethel Kolle. May our sister’s soul rest in perfect peace, until we all meet again.
