Obituary of Isaac O Kersey

Please share a memory of Isaac to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kersey Isaac Oscar was born on October 20th, 1941, in Camden, NJ. He departed this life on November 24th, 2011 with his beloved daughter, her fiancé and his twin sons by his side in Woodbury, NJ. Isaac was the six born of fifteen children born to the late Oscar L. and Flora V. Kersey of Deptford, NJ. Isaac attended schools in his community, and early in his youth Isaac started working in the blueberry and tomato fields throughout New Jersey to help his parents maintain their large family. Isaac also had a long career with the Deptford Township Public Works Dept. He later moved on to the Mars Graphics Company and Abilities Center in Westville as an inspector. Isaac was baptized and had accepted Christ as His personal Savior many years ago, but had recently rededicated his life to Christ on November 4th, 2011. He wanted to ensure he would spend Eternity with Christ and his mother. Following his rededication, he shared his "Good News" with everyone that came to visit him. Isaac was a man of many talents. He loved to hunt with his friends and was often seen with a belt of wild game tied around his waist during hunting season. He loved to sing and was a talented barber. His signature haircut, the Kersey cut was created while cutting his sister's hair. Isaac traveled throughout Deptford cutting many of his friend's hair in this style. Whenever you were around Isaac, your heart would become lighter and you were drawn into his love of laughter. And somewhere in your conversation with him, he would say "Hey Babe", "You know what I mean?" Or his most notable saying; "so forth and so on" then smile at you and stroll away and wave. Isaac's greatest love was for his family. He cherished his siblings and their children with all his heart. His relationship with his daughter Victoria was the focal point of his life. She was his "Baby Girl". The one person he trusted completely. He also had twin sons that he loved dearly, Harold and Howard. They were his best buddy's. He also enjoyed the relationship he had with Victoria's fiancé, Mark, whom he loved and endearingly called "Son in Law" or simply "My Man". Isaac was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marguerite Walker and two brothers, Terry and Jerome (Fuzzy) Kersey. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Victoria (fiancé' Mark) of Clementon, NJ; two sons, Harold (wife Sharon) and Howard Washington of Woodbury, NJ; his four grandchildren, William Hamilton Jr., Zechariah Hamilton, Jennica and Joshua Washington; two great grandchildren, Ajinea Hamilton and Laveaha Gofney; four brothers, Leonard Kersey (Patricia), David Kersey (Sarah), Jerry "Baldy" Kersey (Deborah) all of Woodbury and Dwight Kersey (Deborah) of Virginia; seven sisters, Sandra Tribbett of Woodbury, Janice Roe (Herbert), Doris Webb both of Deptford, Albertine "Pamp" Kersey of Las Vegas, NV, Joyce Harley (Eugene) of Deptford, Jesse Evans (Lonnie) OF Sewell and Jacqueline K. Reeves also of Deptford; one uncle, Earl Fortson and two aunts, Jessie Kersey and Rose Fortson; with many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends as well. Isaac Oscar Kersey will surely be missed by many! Isaac's Family would like to give a very Special Thank you to the whole Woodbury Mews Staff. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me" Phil. 4:13
