Patricia Ann Macon Jenkins departed this life Sunday, April 18, 2021 to be with the Lord while surrounded by loved ones. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, she attended Atlantic City public schools, and as an adult received her Associates Degree in Business from Atlantic Cape Community College, and received her NJ license in Massage Therapy.
Patricia worked in the Atlantic City casino Industry and as a bank teller for many of her earlier years but her true passion was becoming a licensed massage therapist. Patricia worked for accredited businesses such as Red Door Spa and Hand and Stone Spa for the last 10 years.
"Pat" loved being around her family, and her laugh and smile was enjoyed by all who knew her. Patricia's hobbies included traveling to different and exotic places, riding her bike on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and taking long walks anywhere there was sun shining. She also loved to gaze across the ocean any chance she could.
Patricia was predeceased by her biological parents, Willie-Mamie Alvarez and Samuel Macon, and her two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Pleasantville, and Gloria White of Egg Harbor Township.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sonya Henderson (Myron), Kyledia Macon and Dana Macon; 5 stepchildren, Kyle Sears, Khamal Sears, Kevin Sears, Daniel Counts and Keisha Counts; a special son, Andre' Harvey; her father, Fundador Alvarez, Sr.; her brothers, Yahyah Saleem-Bey (Samira), Fundador Alvarez, Jr.; her sisters, Ella May (Freddie) and Rosalina Alvarez; special sister, Ruebena Shuib, a special acknowledgement to her second family, The Bailey Family; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Second Baptist Church, 110 Rev. Dr. Isaac Cole Plaza, Atlantic City, where a walk through viewing, open to family and friends, will be held from 10 to 11 am. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11AM for a select group of 80 family members and friends due to social distancing restrictions. The celebration will also be live streamed and that information will be forthcoming. Burial will follow services at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Mays Landing.
