He was affectionately called John "Satin" by all those who knew him. He was known to be a remarkably skillful designer and tailor. From weddings and proms to curtains and choir robes—he did it all. He was also known for his "risqué" clothing line.
John was a writer and a philosopher, with several books title, Pharaoh's Closet and Blue Suede. He was a great dreamer. He always had a new idea—"Jiggy Wear," "Kozy Kittens," and "Cha-Ching"—to name a few. Uncle "J" was known for his wisdom and advice. His grandchildren will remember "Pop Pop" for his great storytelling and innovative games. "Dad" loved watching movies, playing games, and playing pinochle.
John gave his life to the Lord and joined New Bethany Baptist Church under Pastor Wayne T. Scott.
