Elsie J. McKnight was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on July 2, 1931 to Eunice Winifred Davis and Clarence Davis. Ms. Elsie attended public schools in Atlantic City. She was a very loving and caring person. She loved her family so much that she helped her mother to raise her ten siblings. Ms. Elsie loved the Lord and for the last few years she attended and became a faithful member of Northfield Baptist Church. Ms. Elsie was employed in her earlier years at Hebrew Old Aged Home as a Nursing Assistant and was also employed at Westside Complex School as a Dietary aide. Ms. McKnight was married for 32 years to her husband the late Booker McKnight, Sr. She was a housewife and mother. She loved sports. Her favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers. Ms. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Eunice Davis, husband Booker McKnight, five brothers: Clarence, Theodore, Charles, Donald and Robert Davis and one sister Eunice Davis Timberlake. She leaves behind one daughter Darlene McKnight, one son Booker McKnight, Jr.; 1 brother Raymond Davis; 2 sisters: Shirley Stanley and Phyllis Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and close friends. Our beloved Elsie went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2021. Lovingly Submitted by, The Family
