Singleton Thomas Moore, age eighty-one, of Galloway, NJ; transitioned this life, Friday, November 12, 2021, inside the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division. Thomas Moore, as he was affectionately known was born on May 30, 1940, in Washington, NC, to the late Singleton W. Moore and Kara Bell Moore. Thomas received his formal education through the Martin County School System. In 1961, he moved to Atlantic City, NJ and made it his home. He married his beloved wife and best friend Rose Mae Moore on September 16, 1963. He held numerous jobs inside the Hotel industry and enlisted into the Army National Reserve for two years doing Peace Time. In 1979, he was hired by the Atlantic County Road Department as a Truck Driver and later was promoted to Road Repair Supervisor. He stayed with the County until his retirement in August 2009. Throughout his years in Atlantic County, he was actively involved with the Teamsters Local 331, a regular at the Greentree Goff Club, diehard Steelers Fan and loved the camaraderie of his friends and family. He also enjoyed his oldies and singing. Although at times, he demonstrated a hard exterior, however, to know him, was to love him. He enjoyed telling stories, making others laugh, grilling-out and reading his Daily Bread. Most importantly, he was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. His favorite hymn was “His Eyes is on a Sparrow”, and I know he watches me. In 2012, after deciding to leave the City Life, he moved with his daughter, Latongia Moore of Sicklerville, NJ. Shortly afterwards, he was diagnosed with a major illness, in which he had fallen fragile after receiving treatment. They both decided for him to return to Atlantic County to be closer to his other children. Thereafter, he became a resident of the Royal Suites in June 2014. He continued his colorful personality, stayed actively involved in various activities, in addition to still holding on to his passion and zeal for life. He remained this way, all the way until his earthly departure. Singleton T. Moore is preceded in death by his parents Singleton W. Moore and Kara Bell Moore, his wife Rose Mae Moore, three siblings: James Moore, Kara “Cookie” Moore and Dorothy Moore Brown.
