Sallie Holman, age 77, of Atco, New Jersey, departed this life and transitioned home on August 5, 2022 at Laurel Manor Healthcare and Rehab in Stratford, New Jersey. Sallie was born to the late Mary Holman and Lamar Griswald on April 3, 1945 in Birmingham Alabama. Known as “Maeva” to her family and friends, she was the eldest of four children. After graduating from Ullman High School in 1963, she went on to obtain a degree in Business Administration and a Nursing Certificate from Clark Atlanta College. After graduation, she landed a job at Atlanta Mortgage Brokerage Company as an Office Administrator while working in a nursing home with the elderly. In 1965, she met the father of her children Robert Flood, and they had three beautiful children, Terrance Flood, Donte Flood and Taunjenette Poole. As a dedicated Christian and avid reader of the word of God. She always saw the best in others and would do whatever she could to help those in need even when many times she needed help. Sallie courageously lived a life of love, joy and peace in spite of her disabilities. Sallie was predeceased by her sister Ms. Patricia Craig and son Terrance Flood. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; Son Donte Flood of Atlanta, Ga and daughter Taunjenette (Johnnie) Poole of Atco NJ. She is survived by two brothers Lamar (Audrey) Holman of Birmingham, AL and Willie (Carolyn) Holman of Atlanta, GA; twelve grandchildren; Johnnie Poole Jr, Therese Poole, Bryan Poole, Marquis Shivers, Dejonet Hughey, Bre Hughey, Donte Flood Jr, Tyler Poole, Trey Hughey, Terrika Flood, Desiree Flood and Kayla Poole; eighteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CCU Youth Ministry, because her mission in life was to love and support children.
