Obituary of Jimmy L Ragins

Ragins, Jimmy L. a resident of Turnersville, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born on October 9, 1943 to his loving parents, Tommy and Annie Lee Ragins (nee Rutherford) in Perry, (Houston County) Georgia. Having received his education in the Perry School District, Jimmy moved as a young man to New Jersey. He was employed by Frank Donio, Inc. of Hammonton, NJ for 10 years as a truck driver and C.T. Grasso Trucking for 28 years, also of Hammonton, NJ. Jimmy was a truly loving person with his quiet demeanor and winning smile. He was considered a loner and could be trusted to keep confidence. He enjoyed watching westerns and collecting wrestling and trucking magazines. He had a deep loving relationship with his wife Bernice and also had a strong affection for his step-children. He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice T. Ragins and his father, Tommy Ragins, Sr. Mourning his loss are his loving mother, Annie Lee Hall (nee Rutherford) of Fort Valley, GA; one brother, Tommy Ragins, Jr.; one devoted aunt, Julie Ann Anderson of Warner Robbins, GA; and many devoted cousins including Gladys Clark of Vineland, NJ, Charlie (Margaret) Belvin of Newfield, NJ and Lucille Clark, Calvin Miller of Richland, NJ. He will be fondly remembered by five adult stepchildren, Roberta (Ricardo) Thompson of Clarkston, GA, Willie (Susan) Sapp of Lincoln, NE, Tasso (Molly) Sapp of Freeport, Bahamas, Robert (Martha) Sapp of Chantilly, VA, Michael Sapp of Chantilly, VA; seven step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
