Obituary of Louise E. Hampton

Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Louise Eleanor (Hinson) Hampton, daughter of James and Annie Lucille (Cephas) Hinson was born on November 8, 1945 in Palmyra, New Jersey.   She received her education through the Palmyra Public School system and was employed at W.W. Criswell as a sewing machine operator. She would return to the Palmyra Public School system as an employee for over a decade prior to retirement.  Louise was a dedicated member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Harry Hampton (deceased) in December of 1962, and together they were blessed with three daughters: Rhonda, Renee, and Rochelle.

Louise had a zest for life and a passion for adventure, but never shied away from showing her feistiness. She loved traveling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and making her weekly trips to her favorite shops: Columbus Market, Boscov’s, and L&M Bakery. Whether it was taking that "special ride" or simply staying on the go, Louise embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether in person or through FaceTime–she was always present in their lives.

Louise was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion and Alfreda Bynes, as well as four brothers, James Hinson, Elmer Hinson, George Hinson, and Albert Hinson.

Louise leaves to mourn her three daughters, Rhonda Barnes, Renee Hampton, and Rochelle Little; her cherished grandchildren: Courtney Rubino (Frank), Taryn Woldagabriel (Tedros), Taron Hampton, and Darryle Little.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Frankie, Tessa, Dominick "DJ", and Gianna, as well as her loving sisters, MaryAnn Morris (Sonny) and Doris Griggs (Rocky); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Her life will be celebrated and remembered by all those whose lives she touched, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
