Ronald L. Banks was born to the late Pearl V. Banks and Paul A. Banks , Sr. of Paulsboro, NJ. He was the eleventh of twelve children. He was born on October 22, 1944. Ronald was the grandson of the late Henry Banks, Sr. and Leah Banks of Tappahanock, VA and the late Frank Harris, Sr. and Annie Harris of Mullica Hill, NJ. He departed this life on Saturday December 29, 2012. He became a Christian at an early age. He attended the Bethlehem Methodist Church of Paulsboro for many years. He became a member of the United Methodist Church of Haddonfield. Later, he served under Rev. Henry C. Lestoris Ministry in Philadelphia, PA up until his demise. Ronald graduated with academic honors form Paulsboro High School in 1961. He played the trumpet for the high school band. He was an ambitious person and set his goals on pursuing a degree in business. He had worked part-time at A&P grocery store while going yo Rutgers in Camden, NJ at night. After receiving his degree, he became an employee at E.I. DuPont and was employed as an accountant for 36 years; retiring early. He later met and married Gloria Toliver and from this union one child was born, Veronica. This marriage emancipated. Ronald enjoyed traveling, good food, music, the arts and sports. He also enjoyed helping others and had a hearty laugh. He was a great model and mentor to many. He leaves to mourn, one daughter, Veronica;four grandchildren; his five sisters, Anna Reed, Gertrude Williams, Shirley Graham, Doris J. Gardner and Darlene David; one brother, James D. Banks; one brother-in-law, Robert L. Williams; three sister-in-law, Doris Banks, Dorothy Banks, and Therese Banks, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
