Obituary of Marilyn Louise Harrison

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Saturday, March 30, 2013, Marilyn Louise Wright-Harrison, in her usual quiet graceful manner, took the Lord's hand and departed this world and entered into eternal rest. Marilyn with God's tender loving grace, entered into eternal rest with such grace, which was her way of life.... graceful. Marilyn was the fourth child born of nine children, Charles, Kenneth, Bobby, David, Barbara, Janice, Richard and Patricia. She was the first born daughter of Andrew and Mary Wright, both of whom predeceased her along with two of her older brothers, Kenneth and Bobby. Marilyn was born in Philadelphia and received her education thru the Philadelphia School system. Marilyn met and married her husband James Harrison and from that union they produced 5 lovely children. Two daughters, Tonya, lovingly known as "Tiny" and Tynetta, the mirror of her mother. Three sons; Michael, Mark and Omar. Omar also pre-deceased her and again she handled herself as always with such quiet grace. Marilyn has a host of loving family, each of her children have their own families; This giving her 2 loving daughter-in-laws, Shamuelle Harrison and Tatiana Leach and 2 very caring son-in-laws Herb Garrison and Keith Jones. She had 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Marilyn also has a host of nieces and nephews that will miss her terribly along with a brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Marilyn loved to read and listen to music. If she read a book that she really liked, she would read it again. But her very first love was always her children. Always spoke of how proud she was of them and loved them dearly. All you had to do was mention one of their names and she would smile gently. Marilyn received the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and thru all the adversities she faced in life she handled everything with quiet grace. Always speaking so softly and never complained, never. If you asked her "how are you doing". She would always answer quietly with "I'm fine", even when it was clear that she was not. Lord we would like to thank you for our mother Marilyn, our sister Marilyn, our Aunt Marilyn, our grandmother Marilyn and our great grandmother Marilyn. She was all of the above and with such calm, gentle grace, thank you, thru Jesus Christ.
