Obituary of Glenn David Moore
Please share a memory of Glenn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Glenn David Moore, affectionately known as "Butch", was born March 5, 1961 in Camden, New Jersey to Andrew Jackson Moore, Sr. and Rosalie Moore. He departed this life on June 13, 2014 with his family by his side.
Glenn was educated in the Glassboro Public School System. He enjoyed working in the Audio-Visual Department as well as learning the trade of being an Auto Mechanic. After graduating in 1980, Glenn joined Broadway Bible Church in Camden, New Jersey under Pastor Charles Dawson. He was a member of the choir where he loved to sing.
In 1981, Glenn enlisted in the Marines and served his country well. He was sent to different countries and saw action in Beirut and Lebanon. During this time, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior.
After returning from the Marines, Glenn held several positions until 1989 when he became an Environmental Specialist dealing with Hazardous materials. Glenn also had a love for driving, so he acquired his CDL license and became an over the road truck driver.
Glenn was very compassionate, loving and a caring person. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was working on a house, shoveling snow or cutting grass; you could count on him.
Glenn leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Andrew Jackson Moore, Sr. and Rosalie Moore; his brother, Andrew Jackson Moore, Jr.; his life-time best friend, Robert T. Lawrence; his uncle and aunt, Charles and Betty Butler and a host of family and friends and his special friend, Francis Hall.
