He was really a great man. I just learned of his passing and the news affected me. I only knew him as a substitute teacher at Williamstown high school, but as soon as he would walk into a room everyone's faces would light up. That's just the kind of person he was. He always had a story to tell with a moral or a lesson at the end, and valuable life advice to give us, even if we were too young to fully appreciate it at the time. He was one of those teachers whom students felt comfortable to confide in if they ever had a personal issue, and he would always make them feel better and to know that everything was going to be okay. He was truly one of the greats, and in my mind he always will be. May he rest in peace.
Respect and condolences to the family,
Greatful student,
Brad Milazzo.

Dear Family...
Mr. Patrick was a caring, compassionate person. I feel honored to have known him for over 28 years! I met him in the late 80's when he began substitute teaching at Williamstown High School. He was very passionate about his position and did not take it lightly and for that reason, he was loved by the staff and student body throughout the district for over 20 years since retiring from his career job.
You will be missed my friend. My condolences to Mrs. Patrick, and the family.

I met Mr. Patrick on my first day of student teaching at Williamstown Middle School in 2004. He was very helpful that day giving me words of encouragement and introducing me to students and staff. Everyone knew Mr. Patrick. We world work together again in the High School as he filled in for many of the teachers I worked with. He would often share his experiences of growing up and his military service with our classes. The students always loved when Mr. Patrick was in class. I also had the pleasure of having his grandchildren in my classes. He was very proud of them and never shy about sharing that with me. He will truly be missed. My condolences to his family.

He taught us the simple things in life such as patience, kindness, and respect. He was such a kind hearted soul and we all knew that. I remember once a classmate of mine had no lunch money and was very hungry, so not only did Mr. Patrick give him the snack bar he had personally, but he offered the student lunch money as well. It was those little acts that made us cheer when we saw him walk I'm our class room. I will never forget Mr. Patrick, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Mr.Patrick was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. Everyone at Williamstown High School knew his name, as a student when you heard the word sub you wished for him. We would always tell him he should have been a full time teacher because he had a way of connecting with students. This man left his mark on the world and will be missed. Class of 2003

I'd like to extend my condolences to the family. I am deeply saddened by your loss. Mr. Patrick was a man of great character and determination. As a youth, I saw a faithful guy who showed up to do his job without demanding respect. His demeanor just kinda made it easy to like him. As an adult, I realize how much love and care he must've really had for us kids. I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have him as a part of my developing years. May he rest well...Peace and Blessings be with you all.

Mr Patrick was a beautiful soul. He was so kind and caring to every student he was responsible for. Given the limited contact I have had with him, I can only imagine how amazing of a father/son/husband he was. He will truly be missed by everyone he's met.

Mr. Patrick!! By far one of the most amazing human beings ever. I remember walking through the halls at school and he was constantly waiving or saying hello to someone that he befriended. If Mr. Patrick was your substitute it was a good day. He was always so kind and understanding, and happy! What a pleasure it was to be in his presence and what an honor it was to have known him. I send my deepest condolences. I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Patrick. He was one of the greatest substitute teachers to travel among Monroe Township, and I am very glad that I had the honor to have him as one of my educators. I won't forget the day I met him in the fourth grade at Oak Knoll school. His positive aura and happiness always made it a pleasure to be among his presence. Mr. Patrick lived a long fruitful life, and I am sure he is smiling down from up above! God Bless!

Let me express my sincere sympathy to Mrs. Patrick and family. The death of a loved one leaves a vacuum that can never be filled. Mr. Patrick is one of the kindest and most sincere person I was fortunate to meet. Even though death is the inevitable end for humanity, I feel sad that it has taken our favorite Mr. Patrick from us. However, his memories would stay with us and he left an indelible impression of kindness, care, sincerity and empathy on me from the first time I met him. I am sad!
May his soul rest in peace!

It is so sad to see Mr.Patrick go. He was a wonderful person and a great teacher. He was always a substitute I looked forward to seeing because he was always so kind. I loved talking with him and hearing his words of wisdom. Many kids were too busy being teens to give him the time of day but as soon as I saw him I knew he was a special person. I'm so sorry for the families loss. Mr.Patrick's spirit will live on forever because nobody could ever forget him.

I spent many years as a teacher at Williamstown Middke School, and often worked with Mr. Patrick. It is an indication of the respect that we all had for him that everyone -- teachers as well as students -- called him Mr. Patrick. "Call me Herb," he would say with a smile, and yet, his dignity and courteous demeanor were such that "Mr. Patrick" seemed more appropriate. He brooked no nonsense from students, but he treated them with such kindness and patience that very few misbehaved when he was in charge of a class. In this day and age, there are fewer role models like him for children to look up to. He was in every way a gentleman. I will always be grateful that I had the opportunity to know him.

Mr. Patrick was the nicest man and the sweetest substitute teacher there ever was. Everyone showed him the upmost respect at Williamstown High School! My first day at WHS he showed me where all my classes were and from that point on I looked forward to my teachers being absent just so Mr.Patrick could be the sub for that day! Even after I graduated I would see him around Williamstown like the post office and I would say hi and give him a hug. He will truly be missed Rest In Peace Mr.Patrick ❤️
