Obituary of Delphine Latay Dredden
Please share a memory of Delphine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Delphine Latay Dredden was born May 13, 1981 to Charlotte Dredden and Damon Brown in Voorhees, NJ.
She was affectionately known as “Deli”. She was educated in the Berlin Township and Winslow Township school systems. Delphine enjoyed listening to gospel music. Her favorite song was “Take Me to the King” by Tamela Mann. She also enjoyed electronics and writing poems. Delphine was the mother of two sons, Shyheem and Armani Nickles and one daughter, Jamie Barnes-Dredden.
As a child, she loved to attend church with her grandparents, the late Deacon Bertram Dredden and Blanche Dredden. She was a prankster and loved to laugh. She had an infectious smile.
Blanche Dredden, her late grandmother; her aunts, Patricia Thompson-Young and Carol McCullough were very instrumental in her upbringing. She loved her family very much. Family barbeques, birthday celebrations and get togethers at “the big house” was always a time she looked forward to enjoy. Before her passing, “Deli” rededicated her life to Christ and praised God for her returning to the fold.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Shyheem and Armani Nickles and Jamie Barnes-Dredden; her mother, Charlotte Dredden; her father, Damon Brown; her brothers, the late Damon Boyce and Carl Boyce and sister, Charla Boyce and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
