Obituary of Frank Pennell Roberts, Jr.

Frank Pennell Roberts, Jr., 65, of Atlantic City, departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at his home. Born on October 2, 1951 in Marion, South Carolina, he came to this area at the age of 6 months and resided here for most of his life. Frank attended Atlantic City public schools and after high school, he was employed with Schoppy's for many years prior to relocating to the Maryland Washington, District of Columbia area. After returning to this area, he was employed by Harrah's Resort Atlantic City for over 20 years. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank, Sr., and Rose Mae Roberts; his brothers, Elder Roy Leggett, Roosevelt Leggett and Grady Lee Roberts; his sister, Yvonne Roberts; and his uncle, Harold. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his sons, Donell M. Williams, Sr. of Galloway, New Jersey, and Rashard S. Williams, Sr. of Smyrna, Delaware; five sisters, Shirley Boyd of Pleasantville, New Jersey, Grace Roberts (Darnell) of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Diane Mitchell (Aaron) of Pleasantville, New Jersey, and Phyllis Roberts and Tracy Walker, both of Galloway, New Jersey; three brothers, James Leggett (Anna Jane) of Pleasantville, New Jersey, Leon Roberts (Jackie) of Tampa, Florida, and Ronald Roberts (Vanessa) of Galloway, New Jersey; his uncle, Eddie McLaurin (Flo) of Newark, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Nancy Leggett; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and special friend, Boopie, along with his Washington, D.C. family.
