Obituary of Aaron Lee Simpson, Jr.

Aaron Simpson Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on December 14, 2016. Aaron was born in Philadelphia Pa, on May 19th 2003 in Parkview Hospital to Yolanda Wood and Aaron Simpson Sr. He began his education at Felletonville Horne, J Hampton Moore Elementary School. Aaron then traveled by his mother’s side to Long Island, New York, where he then furthered his education in the Long Island school district. During this time, Aaron started exploring in extracurricular activities, which soon led to his love for sports. Aaron began his football journey with the Long Island River Heads. Later Aaron returned back to Philadelphia and began to play for the Owls. Aaron continued to excel and enjoy life as a young child. Aaron was exceptional in everything he put his heart and mind into. When entering a room he was sure to put a smile on everyone’s face. Aaron was a respectful and outgoing young man with lots of love for his family and friends. Aaron was proceeded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Henrietta Wood and his uncle Jua Hassan El. Aaron leaves to mourn his mother Yolanda Wood, his father Aaron Simpson Sr, his grandparents: Theresa Wood, Margert Hubbard, Richard Gamble, Christopher Cummings and William Simpson. Godparents: Diane Maldonado-Yeager, Robert Yeager, and Jerry Patterson. Brothers: Andre Wood, Roshan Wood, Taaron Simpson, and Ty Simpson. Sisters: Shennell Buthcher, T’aira Simpson. Aunts: Lisa Wood, Osha Williams, Tammy Young, Tina Baker, Tiffany Hilton, Pam Cummings, Adrien Cummings, and Crystal Cummings. Uncles: Donte Wood, Eric Lane, Gamble Dickerson, David Young, Calvin Richardson, and Peroy Anderson ; and one niece A’lyna Wood along with a host of cousins, family, and friends.
