Obituary of Paul Blocker, Sr.

Paul Blocker, Sr. was born in Bayonne, NJ to Salome Blocker and Mae (Akins) Blocker on September 8, 1927.

Paul was drafted into the US Army where he served during World War II. After his service, he relocated to Egg Harbor City, NJ to live with his grandmother, Della Akins. There he met and married Katie Ellis. Years later, along with his wife and children, they relocated to Pleasantville, NJ where he was the owner/proprietor of a dry cleaning business: The Country Club I and The Country Club II.

Paul loved his Harley motorcycles, which he owned a few. He was a former member of The Ravens Motorcycle Club. In addition, he also loved Cadillac’s.

Paul was preceded in death by both of his parents, one brother, Robert Blocker and Katie Ellis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Clemon Davis (Carol) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Charles Davis of Pleasantville, NJ, Geneva Gulley of Palmeppo, GA, Emmerine Davis of Albany, GA, Laverne of Vineland, NJ, Paul, Jr. of Berlin, NJ, Robert of Lawnside, NJ, Sharon of Atlantic City, NJ, David of Elkridge, MD, Kevin (Christine) of Hoensbroek, The Netherlands, Kim (Yvette) of Atlantic City, NJ, Michael of Atlantic City, NJ and Venus of Absecon, NJ; son-in-law, Ronnie Nixon of Atlantic City, NJ; daughter-in-law, Gail Blocker of Lawnside, NJ; sister-in-law, Helen Thompson of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Franklin Thompson of Pleasantville, NJ and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
