Obituary of Kaira Vines

Kaira Vines was born to Nikai Roy and Michael Vines Jr. on July 8, 2000. Kaira was known for her energetic and outgoing personality. When Kaira entered a room, she brought so much life, laughter, love, warmth and a smile that never went unnoticed. Kaira attended the Lindenwold school district between the years of 2005 - 2009. Her education began at Bundle of Joy where she graduated Valedictorian. Kaira was an honor student and received several awards such as the National Honor's Society Award. Kaira was an active student in school where she was a part of the NJ After 3 Drill Team, and after school, art club. Kaira was a cheerleader for the LindenBoro Chargers, competing in competitions and going on to win The National Cheerleading Association Competition in Washington, D.C. Kaira loved to get dressed up, and get her hair and nails done. However, she enjoyed watching wrestling and climbing trees as well. Most of all, Kaira loved to dance, read, talk on the phone, get on the computer and spend time with family. Kaira leaves to mourn: her mother, Nikai Roy and father, Michael Vines, Jr.; three brothers, Kaireef Roy, Antwan Morrison and Naquan Johnson; one sister, Aaliyah Vines; maternal grandparents, William and Shawn Roy; grandmother, Lynne Gross; Paternal grandparents, Gwendolyn Vines and in spirit, Michael Vines, Sr.; Nana, Margaret Parks (pop-pop- Goldie); and great-grandfather, William Elliot, Sr.; great great-grandmother, Helen Roy; special cousins, Darrel Roy-Williams and Zyaire Vines; aunts, Michelle, Jacqueline, Kimberlyn and Ravyn; uncles, Tyron, Sean, William II and Taejon; two god sisters, Keaira and Ava and god brother, Nasir. Kaira also leaves to mourn a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be held 11am Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Higher Ground Temple COGIC, 203 Vine Street, Camden, NJ, where friends may call from 9am.
